Jungheinrich LP Forklift Phoenix

The lift truck is an important piece of machinery in most companies that operate warehouses, distribution centers, industrial and storage handling plants. This great machinery, the forklift is constructed of numerous components, including the important carriage, the power source, the engine and the wheels. Forklifts generally have a variety of attachments too. The following are some of the most important parts of a forklift.

Engine of the Forklift - At the back of the machine, the forklift has its power source. The different kinds of engine on the lift truck will need varying power sources. For example, a forklift with an internal combustion engine could have any of the following as its power source: CNG gas, LP gas, gasoline or diesel. Electric motor forklifts receive their power from a battery or fuel cells.

Frame of The Truck - The frame of the truck is the base of the forklift and the most essential of all the lift truck components. This forms the equipment's core. All other forklift parts are attached to the base, like for instance the mast, wheels, axles overhead guard and counterweight. Fuel and hydraulic fluid tanks can be part of the frame assembly also.

Counterweight Lift Truck Components - the counterweight is what enables the machine to be balanced while lifting heavy cargo. This component is made of heavy cast iron and is connected to the backend of the forklift truck. The counterbalance balances the frame of the truck in order to prevent it from tipping over when a load is being carried or lifted on the front. The heavy lead-acid battery in an electric forklift offers balance and can function as part of the counterweight.

The Cab Area - this area is where the operator sits and drives the machinery. Several lift trucks have a cab area that is open to the air and some have closed cabs. There are numerous components located in the cab for operating the forks. The cab contains such important components like the steering wheel, operator controls, seats, pedals, levers and switches. The dashboard has operator readouts.
