The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been outfitted with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight areas during construction and industrial jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were previously inaccessible by standard jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This particular feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features lessens the time required for users to ascend and descend, increasing efficiency and productivity.
