Available nowadays, there is a wide variety of articulating lifts, with various kinds of lifts to fit each and every circumstance, application and work place. There are certain manufacturers who specify in lifts for dangerous atmospheres such as petro-chemical plants, underground tunnel situations, and other venues where there is a risk of explosive gases or dust, for example in grain-processing plants.



Other lifts have been designed especially to mount onto big flatbed trucks or onto the back of pickup trucks or onto trailers. There are types of lifts that include articulating booms which can be self-propelled and are controlled by the lift operator, whilst others could pivot 360 degrees.



There are both indoor and outdoor lift models. They come in both 2-wheel and 4-wheel powered options. In several situations, the platforms are adjustable and some models have baskets where the worker stands. These platforms or baskets are adjustable and enable the workers to remain level or swing into location, depending upon what the operator should complete the task. There are different types of platforms and baskets which come wired so as to allow the operator to plug tools in as required.
