SMAG is a German corporation and world leader in the manufacture and design of Peiner Grapples and Buckets. Our manufacturing line is comprised of hydraulic lifting machinery, electro-hydraulic motor grabs, mechanical motor grabs, a range of other types of specialized lifting machines and single rope radio control grabs.



Up to date, Peiner has provided over 75,000 models across the globe. Our unique grabs deal with a variety of materials from cement, iron ores, coke, fertilizers, refuse and scrap, amongst a variety of other products. Our years of experience in developing high quality products and the overall designing process helps to enable our client's be given the proven technology their various applications demand.



SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. for over 12 years within the US market place. Various industries such as Steel Mills, Waste to Energy, Scrap Handling, Bulk Transfer Facilities and numerous other material handling facilities are now relying on our grabs and buckets to get their jobs done.



Peiner's design philosophy has always revolved around the idea of making grabs that deal with the biggest volume as opposed to grab dead weight. Normally, the grab and bucket lifting ratio's meaning that 60 percent of material is dead weight vs. 40 percent grab dead weight. This means moving greater quantities of materials quicker. The wear and tear on the crane structure and its related parts is less. By combining manufacturing with innovative design and high quality materials, the required weight ratio is obtained.



Grab sizes would range from 1 cubic yard or less to more than 50 cubic yards in order to suit the requirements of the client. Peiner USA Inc. also offers a complete spare parts facility and service facility for the models purchased within the United States, as well as the addition of new grabs and buckets.
