Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
Back-up alarms and motion alarms are audio device accessories which generate enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the sounds produced from the forklift itself.
The sound produced by the audio device must be discernible from other audible devices or noises from the work setting. The sound must also be different from the other sound or audible devices in the work place. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care should be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made harder due to the use of hearing protection. Audible devices can sometimes get disabled from both operators and workers since they could find them annoying. As well, audible devices may also be objectionable to residents nearby.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass in order to prevent injuries. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit via removing the window. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For every specific use, the operator is able to choose the performance need. Additionally, it enables a supervisor to set the model's maximum performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to reduce and adjust the maximum performance of the unit allows a new operator to learn the machine's operating characteristics in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor deactivates the model and when this happens, it requires a supervisor to re-enable and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machinery in a more controlled manner.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the operating environment behind the truck as well as the tail swing area.
